Diesel Generator (temporary fix)
After the fiasco that left customers without heating and hot water, and with GreenSquareAccord recommending residents ‘use a kettle’ a temporary solution was put in place. This happened after the involvement of the local press and peoples champion MP Michelle Donelan, who described the lack of support from GreenSquareAccord as:
“Living in October with no heating is not only cruel, but is potentially dangerous to their health – especially in the midst of a respiratory pandemic… Some residents have electric showers but some do not - the answer I was told earlier is to “boil a kettle!
I suspect it’s fair to assume that nobody (even GreenSquareAccord) expecting this temporary message to be in place for so long.
The generator is still in place; noisy, potentially dangerous and with diesel fumes filling flats occupied by families with small children. Not only this but the residents have to waste water whilst waiting (10-15 minutes) to pull though hot water, a waste neither they not our planet can afford.
Is this the work of a ‘Simply Brilliant’ or ‘Slum’ landlord?
