Gove Vs Cooke II

Late last year, some of you may recall that Michael Gove penned a letter to Ruth Cooke and other housing association CEOs, expressing his deep concerns. This action came in response to the severe maladministration findings reported by the Housing Ombudsman. For those who missed it, you can revisit Michael Gove's letter to Ruth Cooke and the response I sent to the Office of Levelling Up.

It was reassuring to see that Michael Gove, too, found GreenSquareAccord's recent failings to be, in his words, "quite simply appalling.”

Last night, I received a response from the Office of Levelling Up. While it lacks any real substance and could be viewed as a Pavlovian response, it does bring a sense of assurance that our persistent and widespread issues have once again been officially acknowledged and put on record.
